TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Residential and commercial floor systems
Multi-storey buildings
High-rise construction
Hotels and institutional buildings
Parking structures
Projects with repetitive floor layouts
Fast-track construction projects
Projects where reducing structural dead load is a key design objective
SFS® JOISTS SYSTEM

The SFS® Joists System is particularly well suited for projects where lower structural weight, repetitive construction, faster floor cycles and reduced temporary works can provide significant advantages throughout the building.
ELIMINATES CONVENTIONAL FLOOR SHORING AND REDUCES FORMWORK
The SFS® Joists System is a patented floor-construction solution developed to simplify slab support, reduce conventional shoring and formwork, and accelerate construction. The system integrates structural joist elements into the permanent floor assembly, improving construction efficiency while maintaining structural performance.
KEY TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES
Approximately 87 kg/m² lighter, on average, than conventional floor systems commonly used today
Eliminates conventional floor shoring
Reduces formwork requirements
Reduces structural dead load
Can reduce demands on columns, walls and foundations
Accelerates floor construction
Permanent structural elements become part of the final floor system
Reduces temporary construction materials and site congestion
Can reduce overall construction time and cost
WHY SFS® JOISTS IS DIFFERENT
Unlike conventional floor systems, the SFS® Joists System is designed to reduce dead load, simplify temporary works and accelerate construction. By eliminating conventional floor shoring and reducing formwork requirements, the system can improve site efficiency while becoming an integral part of the final structural floor assembly. Its lower weight — approximately 84 kg/m² less on average than commonly used conventional systems — can also reduce cumulative structural loads throughout the building.

ACTUAL COMPLETED PROJECT USING THE SFS® JOISTS COMPOSITE SLAB SYSTEM.
Structural Weight Reduction
Representative comparison indicates a reduction of approximately:
87.09 kg/m²
of permanent floor weight.
For multi-storey buildings, reduced floor weight may also reduce column, foundation, and seismic demands, depending on project-specific conditions.
